CEO: Russian Railways RAS net profit soars to 53 bln rbl in 2019

MOSCOW, Feb 12 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian Railways almost tripled on the year to 53 billion rubles in 2019, as calculated under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS), CEO Oleg Belozyorov said in a speech at the Federation Council, parliament’s supreme chamber, on Wednesday.

“The company earned a profit amounting to 53 billion rubles,” Belozyorov said.

Russian Railways earlier set a plan for the 2019 net profit under RAS at 27 billion rubles.

According to an earlier statement by Belozyorov, Russian Railways plans to earn 50 billion rubles of the RAS net profit in 2020.
